What is AEROGEL
- Aerogel is solids obtained by replacing the liquid component in a gel with air using Nano-technology. It is also called frozen smoke or “blue smoke” because they give an image like smoke.
- It was first created by Steven Kistler in 1931 using silica gel, and then carbon aerogels were obtained in the 1990s.
- Aerogels produced in NASA’s “Jet Propulsion Laboratories are almost close to the density of the air and are included in the Guinness Book of Records as “the lightest solid substance known”.
- Silica Aerogels had 15 Guinness records with this product in 2011
USES OF AEROGEL
Aerogel is the lightest, super water-repellent, moisture-repellent world with high heat, sound, water, IR insulation and RF absorbance;
- Insulation applications,
- Satellites,
- NASA and CERN studies and various scientific researches,
- In the Military Defense Iindustry
- In the production of paint with insulation properties,
- In meeting the insulation system and cabin insulation needs of aircraft,
- As a de-icing and anti-icing agent
- IR, RF, Multiple Camouflage Systems,
- In ballistic applications,
- Ammunition and ammunition packaging coatings of the Machinery Chemistry Institute
- Water, Heat and Fire insulation of military fabrics
In transfer and personnel tents and is an excellent insulation material used in many other ındustries
WHAT NANO INSULATION IS
Aerogel impregnated felts; It is a high-performance silica-based insulation product produced in a glass fiber matrix with iTero parous Aerogel impregnation technique.
“Next sol-gel” technique was synthesized as local and national in Turkey.
- Has superior insulation properties,
- Thin, flexible non-woven (nonwoven-felt) structure,
- Contains aerogel particles.
In recent years, flexible, mechanically strong, fire-resistant and environmentally friendly thermal insulation materials have attracted great attention..
NANO INSULATION Properties
It provides high performance thermal insulation.
- Provides high performance sound insulation.
- It is not affected by moisture or wetness.
- It is flexible and mechanically strong.
- Provides natural healthy, long-lasting work.
- It has 4 times more insulation ability than the most advanced fiberglass insulation material.
- Can be easily used in the form of rolls and sheets

Aviation Applications
Aviation products are used as de-icing and anti-icing agents. The ice formed on aircraft wings is always a danger factor in the aviation industry. It does not allow icing on the wings of the aircraft with its advanced structure that is super Hydrophobic and strong holding.
Aviation Products can be used in the body insulation of aircraft.
- Condensate on the body wall,
- Glass wool absorbs moisture,
- Bacterial Formation,
- Air conditioning of deteriorated glasss wool
System leaks are blocked.
Insulation performance is increased the need for care is reduced. Insulation is long-lasting
Aviation Products can be used in the body insulation of aircraft.
- When the insulation performance is improved, the body internal volume can be increased.
- Passenger thermal comfort will increase.
- Heating energy saving will be provided.
- Maintenance costs will decrease.
